The principal keeps a close eye on student attendance, whether the syllabus is being completed and internal assessments are being conducted and evaluated regularly. Teachers teach through conventional chalk and talk method. However, with the rise of technology but limited scope teachers take initiative to make use of YouTube for effective delivery of the curriculum. Teachers follow the practice of Mentoring with the sole objective of reaching out to the students 24x7. The students remain in touch with their teachers off the classroom by way of Department and College WhatsApp groups. Classroom teaching is supplemented with occasional group discussions, student seminar to make teaching-learning to be more learner-centric. Study tours and field trips also take place as per the requirements of the curriculum in the departments of Bengali, Geography The task of building stronger self-efficacy belief gets enabled through round the year student-centric activities, observing events of national importance and reaching out to the neighbourhood towards building social relations with the sons of the soil. The core value of the institution is ‘Education for Enlightenment’ which means through education, the students could be enlightened, and they would also be better prepared to live as good citizens. From its core, the value institution builds its vision statement 1. Students to obtain the lights of higher education 2. Students to find the power to cope up with work and life 3. Students to acquire qualities that enrich society We appreciated the need of enlightening all the families of this region – during extension activites and meeting with villagers the college administration encouraged to send their daughters to the college by way of emphasizing on the value of Higher Education for the Girls.

IBEST OF PRACTICES:
One of the Best Practices: Education with Value: We believe that academic excellence is never the ultimate goal in so far as a human being reaching his/her fullest potential is concerned. The ideal should be to create such an institutional environment that takes care a myriad of extra-curricular activities and motivations. With all this in mind, we seek to create an interactive ecosystem of sorts in which students can learn what it means to be an ideal citizen through such programmes like the NCC and NSS, and volunteer themselves to help others in desperate times- be that natural cataclysm or any other kind of emergency. We sincerely believe that it is only when academic activities are justifiably interspersed with such value-education that the real purpose of education is achieved- that of realizing the enormous potential for greatness and excellence already latent in every human being. The other Best Practice is Equality of Opportunities: The core value that our institution upholds is that of equality of opportunity when it comes to something as fundamentally significant as education. Consequently, the basic vision of a college located in the rural and border regions of the West Bengal is to ensure contemporary and modernized educational facilities for the socioeconomically deprived and under-privileged sections of the society, to safeguard their constitution-given right to education and equal opportunities. It has been an article of faith with us to ensure this for all, irrespective of their position in a regrettably unequal but inescapable socio-financial hierarchy, especially in the post-pandemic ‘new normal’. It is our earnest conviction that dissemination of educational access plays nothing short of a fundamentally instrumental role in ensuring the much-needed space for societal interaction and the eventual emergence of a comprehensive value-system that will eventually enrich our vibrant democracy. As demonstrated by the post-pandemic transition to a new modality of teaching-learning, there shall always be moments and situations that call for drastic changes in educational methodologies and mechanics, notwithstanding the existing capabilities of all stakeholders- especially students. Therefore, we seek to envision an inclusive and comprehensive system which is aimed at enabling students across an extremely diverse societal spectrum, in such a way that empowers them to take on the myriad challenges of professional life ahead.
